Videos and photos
Videos and photos you bring into MITO EDIT stay in the app's storage on your device. The app never uploads them, and we never see them. A finished video is saved to Photos only when you choose to save it.
- Photo library: used only to pick videos and photos to edit and to save finished videos.
- Speech recognition: used only for automatic captions and for cutting silent gaps.
Automatic editing happens on your device
- Picking scenes, framing faces, matching color, removing noise, captions and translation all run on your iPhone with Apple's on-device frameworks.
- Telling people apart: so an edit doesn't show the same person again and again, the app turns each face it sees into a set of numbers and compares them only with other faces in the same project. These numbers never leave your device, are not used to find out who anyone is, are not used for anything else, and are deleted when you delete the project.
- To sort each clip (a haircut, a workout, and so on), the app may ask Apple's on-device model about a few frames. This runs on your iPhone; nothing is sent to us.
- The first time you use a language for captions, Apple may download a language model to your device. No sound or video is sent.
Finding a song
- Only when you look up a song for a beat cut, the song name or link you type is sent to Apple (iTunes Search) or YouTube/Spotify to get the song's details and a 30-second preview. No video, photo or sound is sent.
- The preview is used only to measure the beat and to play while you edit; it is left out of the video you save. We don't collect or keep what you search for.
Purchases
MITO EDIT Pro is bought through Apple's In-App Purchase. Apple handles the payment; we never see your payment details. To keep track of subscriptions and sales, a record of each purchase (which product, when, and an anonymous buyer number made by the app) is sent to RevenueCat, the subscription service we use (based in the United States). Your name, email and payment details are never sent.
Usage statistics
To improve the app, we collect anonymous usage statistics with Google Firebase Analytics and PostHog (servers in the United States): for example which steps people take (opening the app, starting an automatic edit, saving a video, opening the Pro screen), how long an edit took, device type, OS version and country. This tells us where people get stuck. The statistics never include your videos, photos, sound, captions or project names, and are not used for ads or linked with other companies' data.
- You can turn this off any time: the ••• menu on the home screen → "사용 통계 보내기" (Share usage statistics).
- In the EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland it starts off, and nothing is collected unless you turn it on.

Settings on your device
Settings such as your last caption style and length stay on your device and are deleted with the app.
Accounts, ads and tracking
No accounts, no sign-in, no ads, and no tracking across other companies' apps or websites.

영상과 사진
MITO EDIT에 불러온 영상과 사진은 기기 안의 앱 저장 공간에만 있어요. 앱이 서버로 보내지 않고, 저희도 볼 수 없어요. 완성된 영상은 저장을 누를 때만 사진 앱에 저장돼요.
- 사진 보관함: 편집할 영상·사진을 고르고, 완성된 영상을 저장할 때만 써요.
- 음성 인식: 자동 자막과 말 없는 부분 자르기에만 써요.
자동 편집은 아이폰 안에서 해요
- 장면 고르기, 얼굴 위치 맞추기, 색 맞추기, 잡음 제거, 자막, 번역은 모두 Apple의 기기 내 기능으로 아이폰 안에서 처리돼요.
- 같은 사람 알아보기: 같은 사람이 계속 나오지 않게, 영상 속 얼굴을 숫자로 바꿔서 같은 프로젝트 안의 얼굴끼리만 비교해요. 이 숫자는 기기 밖으로 나가지 않고, 누구인지 알아내는 데 쓰지 않고, 다른 데 쓰지 않아요. 프로젝트를 지우면 같이 지워져요.
- 영상이 이발인지 운동인지 같은 걸 고를 때 Apple의 기기 내 모델에 장면 몇 장을 물어볼 수 있어요. 아이폰 안에서만 처리되고 저희에게 오는 건 없어요.
- 처음 쓰는 언어로 자막을 만들 때 Apple이 언어 모델을 내려받을 수 있어요. 소리나 영상은 보내지 않아요.
노래 찾기
- 박자 컷에 쓸 노래를 찾을 때만, 입력한 노래 이름이나 링크를 Apple(iTunes 검색)이나 YouTube·Spotify에 보내 노래 정보와 30초 미리듣기를 받아요. 영상, 사진, 소리는 보내지 않아요.
- 받은 미리듣기는 편집할 때 박자를 재고 들려주는 데만 쓰고, 저장하는 영상에는 들어가지 않아요. 검색어는 저희가 따로 모으거나 저장하지 않아요.
구매
MITO EDIT Pro는 Apple 앱 내 구입으로 결제돼요. 결제는 Apple이 처리하고, 저희는 결제 정보를 볼 수 없어요. 구독과 매출을 확인하려고, 구매 기록(어떤 상품을 언제 샀는지, 앱이 만든 익명 구매자 번호)을 구독 관리 서비스 RevenueCat(미국)에 보내요. 이름, 이메일, 결제 정보는 보내지 않아요.
사용 통계
앱을 더 좋게 만들기 위해 익명 사용 통계를 Google Firebase Analytics와 PostHog(미국 서버)로 모아요. 예를 들어 어떤 단계를 거쳤는지(앱 열기, 자동 편집 시작, 영상 저장, Pro 화면 열기), 편집이 얼마나 걸렸는지, 기기 종류, OS 버전, 나라 같은 거예요. 어디서 막히는지 보려고 써요. 영상, 사진, 소리, 자막, 프로젝트 이름은 절대 들어가지 않고, 광고에 쓰거나 다른 회사 데이터와 연결하지 않아요.
- 언제든 끌 수 있어요: 홈 화면 ••• 메뉴 → "사용 통계 보내기".
- EU·EEA·영국·스위스에서는 꺼진 채로 시작하고, 켜신 경우에만 모아요.

기기에 저장되는 설정
마지막으로 고른 자막 모양, 길이 같은 설정은 기기 안에만 저장되고 앱을 지우면 함께 지워져요.
계정, 광고, 추적
회원가입, 로그인, 광고가 없고, 다른 회사의 앱이나 웹사이트를 넘나드는 추적도 하지 않아요.
